The Future of Paradise Delta


It's been a while since I posted an update here so I wanted to shed a little light on the current status of this project.

I tend to work on it in bursts and my current burst has split the game into two copies - One of which is being reworked to try to fit a Collectible Card Game into the battle system.

This is a substantial rework that requires redesigning almost everything in the game. Even exploration and non-combat aspects have to be re-balanced and worked in to compliment this new system.

Why am I doing this? I hope it will add depth and fun to the game without it being over-complicated or RNG frustration.

I hope that the CGC aspect invokes the nostalgic feeling of old school 90's MTG and Pokemon booster packs.

After it's all designed, implemented, and tested, there is a chance I just scrap it all and go back to the original. Only time will tell if this can be iterated upon or if it will end up cut.

Regardless of which direction I go, the next step after that will be re-releasing the demo in a new shorter and more focused cut.

In conjunction with this, I plan to release a beta build that has all currently available content for those who want to help test and steer development course.
